Austria is a country in Central Europe

Austria is a country in Central Europe and one of the nine states of Austria. It is a landlocked country to the East of Germany, with much of its terrain covered by mountains.

The state of Upper Austria borders to Lower Austria in the north, Styria in the east, Salzburg and Carinthia in the south, and Tyrol as well as Vorarlberg in Switzerland in the west. In total it has an area of 27,400 km². The population is about 1 million people - this number includes those who live on territories once belonging to Poland or Yugoslavia but now part of Austria after World War II.

The capital city is Linz and there are other major towns such as Wels and Steyr to name a few. The tourism industry plays an important role for
